Best Western Rose And Crown Hotel

125 High St, Tonbridge TN9 1DD, UK – 0844 387 6206

Pro's, room was clean and reasonably modern, staff were polite, location was really good, near to the town centre and close to the castle, price was right for the room. I wish that I could have tried the restaurant as the menu looked quite good. Cons, The room had the most squeaky floorboards I have ever come across, the floor sloped visibly, and the room was quite cold but in their defence the hotel is a few hundred years old, I saw no evidence of a lift anywhere so if you are disabled I would check first, but I think the restaurant is accessible by wheel chair. The hotel does give out fan heaters and fans if you need them. I would stay here again, probably.

Nice quaint hotel a little over priced, nice friendly staff great location

Premier Inn Tonbridge

Pembury Road, Tonbridge TN11 0NA, UK – 0871 527 9096

The rooms are really spacious and very comfortable... I would definitely recommend staying here

Premier Inn Tonbridge North

Hilden Manor, London Road, Tonbridge TN10 3AN, UK – 0871 527 9098

Stayed here for 1 night after a wedding, excellent location. Probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in, luckily we had a family room so I could take the duvet and pillows off the other bed and spent the night on the floor. On the plus side the room was very clean so didn't worry about being on the floor. We had a cot in the room for our baby but the mattress was so thin and flimsy we put her in our bed! Breakfast is served in the adjoining beefeater, breakfast was very nice and a great selection for the price. Felt let down by the service, as I said we stayed after a wedding so there were a lot of family there and we wanted to be near each other at breakfast but it was made very clear that we were being awkward and putting them out by asking for this. Didn't realise it would be such an issue and maybe we should have booked ahead but there was a lot of space and didn't think we were asking for much, but make sure you book if you want to sit with others.

As you would expect from a premier Inn the room are the same as any other in the country. Clean and tidy, staff are probably the friendliest I've come across at a premier Inn. Shout out to the beautiful lady in reception. Be warned it is right next to a busy road so opening a window is a preference most wouldn't like. But that said the rooms have no air conditioning so if like me the room was too hot it's extremely difficult to cool down. That is my only negative of the place. offers competitive rates for any type of hotel, from small independent hotels to a five star luxury ones. Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Ivy House

199 High St, Tonbridge TN9 1BW, UK – 01732 771249

Good food. Great service. Good value for tour money. Dogs welcome

Had our wedding reception here. Great BBQ food and great beer. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend for functions.

The Gatehouse

115 High St, Tonbridge TN9 1DL, UK – 01732 368529

Nice clean bar with good drinks but the queue at the bar is ridiculous and only one half of the bar ever seems to get served while the rest wait an eternity. Plus I don’t understand why the music is so loud... it’s a bar not a club...

Really good pub, nicely decorated. The layout has not changed much since it used to be know as 'Slug and lettuce'. Food is just a normal typical pub food, quite cheap, there is an option for 2 meals for £10 which is valid all the time (i think) that includes Hunters Chicken meal. Before 8pm there is a happy hour when you can get 2 cocktails for 1, cocktails are very good, but it can get very busy at that times, especially on Fridays. They also have got a few big screens to show football as well. I don't think there is a beer garden there in the back (they put a few tables in the front in the summer)

Foresters Arms

52 Quarry Hill Rd, Tonbridge TN9 2RT, UK – 01732 360129

I am new to Tunbridge, I found the male staff very friendly, and a bit quirky. Customers of all ages, great pizza and well run, only met one female member of staff to date, good looking girl. You could do a lot worse than pop in here sometime.

Very welcoming, warm atmosphere, nice space to have a drink with friends. Students often go. Interesting posters and warm candle lights, friendly and chatty bar staff, make for a pleaseant experience. 👌

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
