Sunday 26th May, 7.30pm

St. Mary’s Church, Leigh

This is the third annual charity concert that the Nettle family has organised in the church at Leigh. Terry Nettle is a viola player at English National Opera, Jo Marsh (Nettle) is a flautist in the   Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and both children, Thomas and Isabelle are members of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

The evening will feature the Nettle family performing music from your all-time favourite blockbuster films. Highlights of the evening will include Fantasia, The Jungle Book, Indiana Jones, Bridge on the River Kwai, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and many more! Following the success of last year’s musical quiz, this will be repeated with harder questions and even better prizes!!!

Drinks and snacks will be served at the interval, for which donations will be welcomed as a further contribution to this year’s charity. The concert will be raising money for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. “NYO aspires to be the most  inspirational orchestra for young people in the UK”.

Come and enjoy a fun and friendly evening in the beautiful church of St. Mary’s, Leigh, to help us raise money for them.

Tickets are available from Leigh Village shop or at the church on the night.

What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
How does it work?
Alpha is ten sessions with the option of a day or weekend away in the middle. Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge.

Afternoon Break

A regular monthly get-together on Wednesday afternoon between 2 and 4pm in the small village hall. Tea, biscuits and chat.
