Vauxhall Inn

Vauxhall Ln, Tonbridge TN11 0NA, UK – 01732 773111

Great food and excellent server who catered to our every need (friends had a 6 month old). Booked a few days before just in case it was super sunny and everyone was out but rain decided to show instead. Was greeted as soon as we entered. Will definitely be returning.

After deciding on an early, last minute Sunday dinner with our family. As all are adults and used to children and families we were up for trying somewhere new and recommend by a friend. So we booked at The Vauxhall Inn for 4.30 and arrived at 4.15, we were promptly shown to our table by John who was lovely , really accommodating and friendly with lots of menu knowledge and advice on the cask beers. We were served quickly with our drinks orders and after a brief period we ordered our mains. Our main courses arrived and the food was amazing, not one complaint in a group of 6 very good going I would say! This was followed by huge puddings from a good range offered. There were a variety of diners, couples, families and small groups, tables are far enough away from each other to not bother one another. There is wheelchair access and inclusive toilets available. There was a good selection of activities available for children , a nice outside area, smoking zone and garden heaters. Parking is also available. The Vauxhall Inn is directly next door to the local premier inn.

Greggs Tonbridge (BOSO)

86 High St, Tonbridge TN9 1AP, UK – 01732 352248

With 2 located in the high street you would think every now and then they would have something to eat. Everybody loves a Greggs, just make sure you get there first if you fancy something specific, or hot. Because 9/10 times you can never get what you actually wanted. Oh and they charge an extra 20% for the privalage of sitting inside. Don't know where this extra price comes in because instead of a paper bag for your goodies you get a piece of greaseproof paper on a tray, so it certainly isn't needed for fairy liquid. I gave 3* that should of been a 4* but it's always a case of "oh you haven't got anything from my top 3 list... Oh and it's barely even warmed through... Oh and it costs me extra to sit in this hard chair and wallow in disappointment, great thanks

I really enjoyed my pulled pork pasty but I had to wait in a slow moving queue to get it and it looked as if they had run out of some of the other types of pastys and pastrys as well as some of the salads
